Hey there!

Hey there!

My name is Adam Khan, I've been a musician and tech enthusiast for what feels like most of my life now. I started out early in the live music scene in Madrid, Spain, hosting open mics from the tender age of 19 for 40 euros a night.

With shows like that, I could scarcely afford the gear I dreamed of, but fast-forward 11 years, and a long career in teaching, marketing and music, and the situation is different, kind of.

See, when I was 19 I dreamed of owning a Helix, or a Magnatone amp, not because I knew what they could do - I very much didn't - but because they looked like fun toys to have around the house and play with, and I fear a lot of people never got over that stage.

As years went by and I played more (and higher-paying) gigs, something changed in how I felt about gear. I started to think of new guitars, amps, modelers or pedals as investments to make the show even better, or make me more "bookable" in one way or the other; and suddenly, that feeling seeped into every buying decision I made in my 20s. From phones to tablets and even cars. This is the angle I often see missed in review blogs and videos, the pure working musician investment angle.

Now I'm 30 and I like to think I've learned a thing or two about music tech, stage presence and digital mediums. So I built this blog to share what I love talking about the most, hoping that you, dear reader, enjoy discussions about music-related tech and beyond.

If you'd like to book me for a live show, please visit my personal website here. Here you'll find my performance rates in Vietnam, my technical rider, an audience photo gallery and more about me as a musician!

From mobile phones and tablets, to gaming consoles and guitar effects pedals, I love technology of all kinds. Not as the focus of my shows but as extremely valuable tools that expand my capabilities to put on a good show for my dear audiences all over the world. From Lisbon, Portugal, all the way to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, where I'm currently based.
